Journalism

Sarah came to print as a supplement to her broadcasting work. She has contributed to several national magazines and newspapers (London Evening Standard, The Scotsman, The Sunday Post, Shape magazine, Healthy magazine [the UK's best-selling health magazine] etc). In her feature writing, Sarah has a humorous, conversational style, which has seen her confessing to binge-eating, and ticking off friends for not inviting her to dinner more often (could the two be related?).

Some of her more unusual assignments include having a naked rub-down in a mixed-sex Turkish steam room, 5 months pregnant, and sitting on Roman toilets while eating gum marmalade (made from tree sap) for a travel feature.

Sarah wrote a daily cookery column for The Scotsman for 18 months (2000-2001) - which adds up to a LOT of recipes! In her print work, she specialises in health, food, diet, travel, features and humour, and is a member of the Guild of Food Writers.
